We recently manufactured and installed quartz bar tops at the new Appleton’s restaurant in Fowey.

Andy & Lyndsey who run Appleton’s, choose Unistone’s Misterio quartz for the main bar tops.

Which is a beautiful white quartz with a dark subtle vein running through at all angles.
On the bar top next to the kitchen, a more simple quartz was chosen called Blanco Maple which is from Silestone.

So as always, our first job is to go to site and create templates for the quartz bar tops.
When the templates are brought back to the workshop we transfer the dimensions onto our CNC software.

Second job is to bring in the large slab of quartz.

Then we cut the quartz to size on the bridge saw.

The necessary pieces are then put onto the CNC routing centre.

And routed to the correct shape, and edge profiled where necessary.

We are also supplying up stands for the bar tops.

We edge profile and polish all straight pieces on the edge profiling machine.

All pieces are finely finished by hand before leaving the workshop.

We then go back to site and install the quartz bar tops.

Andy & Lyndsey invited us for a few drinks on the opening night of Appleton’s.

And we got to see the quartz bar tops completed and in the surroundings they are meant for, which is a rare treat for us.

And we had a lovely time, it was really busy and the chefs cooked up some amazing canape’s.
