Our customers in Par chose Angola Blue granite worktops for their kitchen.

Angola blue granite is quarried in Southwest Africa, in the Republic of Angola.
With a very dark back ground, almost black, you will see greys and shimmering blues dotted throughout the worktop.
This granite is also known as ‘blues in the night’, which perfectly describes this stone.

The worktops run either side of the AGA.

On the left you see an L-shape section which we manufactured without a join.

This enables us to incorporate an internal radius corner.
A great feature but bear in mind that this does create more wastage on the slab.

A pop up socket was also requested by the customer on this L-shape worktop.

We always polish & edge profile the worktops either side of a free standing cooker/AGA.

You will notice that 100mm high upstands run around the rear of the angola blue granite worktops.

An island took pride of place in the centre of the kitchen.

Four large radius corners followed the curvature of the base units beneath.

And the customer asked for quite a large over hang on one side of the island worktop.
So we provided additional support underneath.

On the other run of worktops we fabricated a sink.

But first lets see this neat little shelf that the customer wanted.

The customer chose a polished sink cut out with a single hole for a mixer tap.

You will notice that no drainer grooves have been fabricated, which is becoming a popular choice.

We ran these angola blue granite worktops right into the window frame which provides a nice space behind the sink.

All granite worktops need to be sealed.
So we apply the sealer in the factory.
We are certified applicators and stockists of Dry Treat Stain Proof.
Which is a micro porous sealant for natural stone.

You can view all the necessary information on Dry Treats website here

Granite worktops are easy to clean, and using hot soapy water is sufficient most of the time.
But if you want to clean your worktop with a cleaning product, then it’s best to use a Ph neutral product.
And we recommend using Hanafin Rejuvenata, which we also keep in stock.
