We started this landscaping project in the lead up to Christmas, up near Spreyton in Devon. So the pressure was on as usual. We laid the hardcore sub-base to the necessary falls, compacting in layers.
We supply a huge range of slate paving throughout Cornwall. And on this project at Pentire in Newquay, our customer asked us to supply & install slate paving on the terrace’s they’d constructed. A building contractor built and rendered the walls before we started on site.
On this project in St Austell we designed, supplied & installed silver grey granite coping stones and paving around the swimming pool. We carried out all the ground work and masonry work on this pool too. Concreting the swimming pool floor, building the walls, forming the channels & rendering.

Just started a project between Rock and Padstow where we will be installing limestone coping stones around a swimming pool. Our first job is to install battens around the perimeter walls of the pool and install limestone tiles. A flexible two part adhesive is used to bond the tiles to the wall.
We have now completed the installation of sandstone paving at a project near Liskeard in Cornwall, and set to work pointing the joints. We are using GftK joint mortar which is really easy to use and produces a decent finish without having to touch the mortar during application.

Our first job on this project was to protect the river bank from further erosion. So after a lot of deliberation with the customer, we decided to use gabion baskets at the foot of the river bank. Our first job was to clear the foot of the bank from stones and large rocks.
As part of our ongoing work on this landscaping project, we have to install a reinforced concrete staircase. We use Faheys Concrete who are based down the road from our offices and showrooms at Par. And they have a long reach conveyor which makes our life on a site like this much easier.
