Customers managed to salvage two Bathstone gate posts when the previous house was demolished.
We excavated the gate post holes to the correct depth and lowered the gate posts into position using a swing shovel and strops.
The gate posts were braced using timber and then we concreted using a 4:1 mix of ballast & cement.
Once the gate posts were installed we removed the existing dry stone wall.
Keeping all the stone on site so we could re-use it.
Now we set out and start to construct the new dry stone wall.
And this continues on the other side of the gates opening too, we only remove the wall to a point.
Once we’ve created the right foot print of the wall, we can then crack on and build it to the correct height.
The bathstone gate posts have lights fitted on top and an intercom system installed.
Sliding gates are also install and you can see the gates in more detail by clicking here – Gates
