We’re at that stage of the project, time to set out & install the Tegular block paving kerbs. As you can see from the photo’s, before we start installing the kerbs, we install steel pins close to the line of kerbs. We then use our site level to mark the top of the kerb on each pin, finely adjusting the height by eye. It’s important to make sure the gradient of the kerb flows with the drive.
We can then lay the kerbs on a semi dry bed of concrete, usually we use a 4:1 mix. We then haunch up the rear and front of the kerb which helps lock them together and create a solid kerb.
